So...I got a phone call from my brother this morning, asking me to get Grandma's present for him, because he's not going to be around for Christmas (long story...but he won't be at home). His message made me realize how much I wanted to go home for Thanksgiving. But I maybe have $60 and a plane ticket is not that cheap!
So...as I was trying to figure out frequent flyer stuff and how to manipulate that so I could maybe fly home for cheaper...my friend Amos asked me what I was doing. Amos' family lives in Oregon and he's got a lot of frequent flyer miles he can't use to get himself home. So...he gave me some of his! Incredible! The coolest part? W/ the fees and everything it was exactly $60 for me to go home.
I'll leave on Tuesday and return on Monday...which means I'll be able to be there for my brother's sentencing. I'm SO grateful to be able to spend this holiday with him.
God is faithful, He hasn't forgotten our deepest desires, in His timing things are beautiful, and miracles do not only happen in Bible times...
"Because of His great love for us, we are not consumed..."

Welcome...
So I decided to get with it and start a blog. I've been inspired by the many wonderful students I am in contact with. They truly are incredible people.
This weekend we went on the Fall Retreat. My heart overflowed with joy to see how God met each of the students where they were. I don't doubt that everyone who sought God, found Him. I eagerly anticipate watching how He continues to mold them into his image, not to mention He met me where I was. Psalm 62:11 says "One thing God said, two things I heard. That you, O God, are strong and that you, O God, are loving..." God is strong, I don't have to be. God is loving...even when it doesn't feel like it.
