Just Another Friday?

What made last Friday so "special"? That is one of the questions I received. Thanks for asking!
It's true--it may have felt like just another Friday to most.

For those who are Christ followers--its a day to remember the cornerstone of our faith. That Jesus Christ, who did not consider equality with God something to be grasped, being found in the likeness of man, humbled himself and became obedient to death--even death on a cross. The punishment that was meant for me was taken on Himself. Because of it I am healed.

Then came Sunday. Easter Sunday--where Christ followers remember and celebrate the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead. He defeated death on deaths own terms. If Christ did not die and rise again then our faith is void and meaningless.

So, while it does have tendencies to seem like "just another Friday", remembering sacrifice and celebrating resurrected life make it significant.
