This picture is from one of my favorite scene's in the movie "Elf". Santa is about to arrive and Buddy "knows him"!
Its great isn't it
? To know someone. Understanding what makes a person laugh or cry is really an extraordinary power.
I was talking to a friend about how awful her life has been as of late and whether or not God is really for us even when it doesn't seem like it. I do not begin to understand how/why God does (or doesn't) do things; but I know him. I know His character. I know circumstances do not change who He is and does not stop His love for us. Yes, circumstances make us doubt, wonder, scream and walk away limping. But I know Him! He has given us everything we need for life and godliness through Himself. And He found me so I can know Him.

Have you ever read, "Knowing God"? You might like it. Our Bible Study is going through it right now and I am enjoying it. This is pretty impressive seeing as I am not a fan of Christian "life" books or whatever you call them. Too many of them seem flimsy and too drawn-out. But this one is a good read, so far.
oh my! how timely- the times in my life when I am at my lowest are the times I doubt that even God can love me. During a sermon some years ago our Pastor used the word 'nevertheless'- I quilted it and it hangs on my wall. I called it God's Resolution as in 'nevertheless He loves me still'
Thanks Debbie for sharing your daughter's wisdom with me.
