There's a new wind blowing. It's hard to explain, but it has the distant smell of God. So many of the people in my life are tired of how it's been the last two years and ready to dive deeper. Deeper in their relationship with Jesus and deeper into relationship with each other. Accountability, missions, showing the ugly parts of ourselves to each other, prayer, community...Basically we're becoming what the church is supposed to be. It's so exciting!

I cannot comprehend how God works with each person, individually, while at the same time moving us all in the same direction. It's indescribable...It's God...

Daddy--help us! Help us to act and move and breath you, what you want to do is limitless. So be it.

Have y’all ever lifted weights? How do you get stronger? From resistance. You think God’s not in control because you have a war going on within you? Resistance is very valuable. It’s very valuable to you physically to grow, guess what? It’s valuable for you spiritually to grow. Everybody wants the sun to shine every day right? There is only one place on earth were the sun shines every day. What’s it called? The desert. What grows there? Nothing. There is one place on earth that is storms everyday, rains every day. Kauai. Ever been there? It’s the 4th largest island in Hawaii. It’s known, the only place on earth where it storms everyday. What’s it called? The Garden Isle. What grows there? Everything…And it grows there 10 times bigger than anywhere else on earth.

These Roads they are changing...

Toward the end of my college career, one of my friends wrote a song about roads and how they are changing. The song comes to mind a lot when things begin to change in my life.

I've really felt that God is on the move...maybe that's why 2005 has been uncomfortable to me...because things ARE different and I have no control or any vision past my current circumstances, it makes me nervous and I find myself on my knees a lot more. (Who doesn't in times of uncertainity)

Anyway...this time it's job changes...to where/what/when I'm not sure. I'm going to Athens, AL this weekend on the single's retreat and I'm hoping to get in some good prayer time. I don't exactly know what I'm praying for...oh the joys.

I heard the topic for the weekend is going to be "Provocative Faith"
